Kevin Burt is a Systems Engineer, Software Developer, and IT Management Specialist with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Industrial Management from the University of Waterloo. With over eight years of experience in the tech sector, Kevin has worked with both big and small companies, including startups, and has even started a few of his own. He is a problem-solver with a logical and rational thinking process, and he is quick to learn new things. Kevin has experience with different operating systems, programming languages, and software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite, Python, Bash, Batch, C#, PHP, programming IDEs, CLI/Web Service APIs, Control-M, AWS, databases, IT networks, data structures, algorithms, and optimization. In addition to his technical skills, Kevin has other interests, including videography, web development, 3D modeling, power tools, and cycling. He is currently working as a System Engineer at CFS Consulting, a BMC partner that specializes in the specific installation and set up of Control-M, a scheduling software. Previously, he worked as a Technician at MEC, where he assembled goods and did repairs or adjustments, and as a Bicycle Safety Instructor at Cycling into the Future, where he provided bike tune-up days to whole classes of students, tested their various skills and knowledge in a safe environment, and guided them through various obstacles and safe riding techniques. Kevin is looking for the next step in his career path and hopes to work for a fun company that values and inspires him to do well. He is ideally looking for some remote work in the tech sector that will allow him to utilize his skillset and broaden it at the same time. Kevin's technical skillset, coupled with his problem-solving abilities and eagerness to learn, make him an asset to any company that values innovation and growth.
